Admissions Procedures

Admissions Policy
Students are admitted to Saint John the Evangelist School according to space availability, using the following priorities: 1.
Current Students, 2. Siblings, 3. Parishioners*, 4. Non-Parishioners.

*Parishioner status includes families who attend mass and support any area Catholic parish. A letter of confirmation must be submitted yearly from your parish if other than Saint John the Evangelist. 
 
Admission Procedure for Preschool and Kindergarten:
Parents of preschool and kindergarten students must complete the appropriate registration form and submit with: baptismal certificate copy, birth certificate copy, registration fee of $100 (non-refundable) payable to St. John the Evangelist School, and letter from your Catholic parish verifying your membership (we will verify St. John’s parishioners). 

To enter Pre-K 3, the child must be 3 years of age by August 31 and be toilet trained. To enter Pre-K 4, the child must be 4 years of age by August 31 and be toilet trained.

To enter Kindergarten, the child must be 5 years of age by August 31 and complete Brigance Screening and/or Kindergarten Readiness Assessment. We will coordinate testing after we receive your registration.

Admission Procedure for Grades 1-8:

Complete the Admission Application and return it with copies of recent report cards and standardized testing results. After we review your application, we will contact you to set up a shadow day. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by letter after testing and all requirements are completed. A registration form will also be sent to you at that time.
