St. John the Evangelist is a Catholic school for children in grades Pre-K to 8 located in Long Green Valley, Maryland. Our student-centered curriculum, based on the national standards, follows the Archdiocese of Baltimore Course of Study for Elementary Schools. Our school is fully accredited by AdvancEd.

The students of our school become aware of themselves as unique individuals growing in their ability to reach out to others in an atmosphere of Christian fellowship. They are encouraged to see themselves as important parts of a larger community and to make choices and decisions with a view of the common good rather than seeking personal gain. Students are taught respect for all of God’s gifts. They are encouraged to interact with each other in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
